Mike Bennett - Co-owner of Terra Tech Off Road
For nearly 50 years, Mike has been living and breathing off-road adventure. From a young age, he was drawn to the thrill of the trail, pushing the limits of his machines and honing his skills on the track. Over the years, his dedication and passion led to numerous track championships and even a Provincial title solidifying his reputation as a fierce competitor and skilled rider.
But for Mike, off-roading has always been about more than just racing; it's about exploration, pushing boundaries, and sharing the adventure with others.
Beyond his racing career, Mike has dedicated his life to service as both an active police officer and an instructor. For two decades, he led the off-highway vehicle training programs for one of North America's largest deployed police agencies and is a partner with the Canadian Off Road Vehicle Academy. His unique blend of real-world law enforcement experience and off-road expertise has made him a trusted authority in the field, helping shape safer and more capable off-road operations across the industry.
Mike's influence extends far beyond the police force. For 17 years, he was a test rider, safety consultant, and adventure writer with Dirt Trax Magazine, where he shared his passion for off-road exploration with readers. His articles often took his family on multi-day adventures across Canada and the Eastern US, proving that off-roading isn't just for adrenaline junkies it's for everyone who loves the outdoors and the journey.
As the founder of Terra Tech Off Road, Mike has taken his expertise to new heights. Terra Tech has become a leader in Light All Terrain Vehicle development, playing a key role in the design, marketing, and launch of the world's first OHVs created specifically for law enforcement use by an Original Equipment Manufacturer.
His custom vehicle builds have drawn attention across the industry, amassing over 850,000 views on YouTube and earning recognition from power sports professionals around the world.
Mike's service to his country runs deep - he is a proud veteran, having served for a decade in the Canadian Forces Cadet Instructor Cadre as a Second Lieutenant before retiring in 2009. His military background, combined with his years in law enforcement, gives him a unique perspective on discipline, leadership, and teamwork - qualities that drive the success of Terra Tech Off Road today.
However, the most rewarding part of Mike's journey is the work he does alongside his daughter Taylor, through Taylor's Travels.
Together, they are on a mission to promote Adventure, Inclusion, and Learning for persons with intellectual disabilities in the off-road and overland travel communities. For Mike, off-roading isn't just a business it's a way to inspire others, break down barriers, and prove that adventure is for everyone..
Stacey BENNETT - CO-OWNER OF TERRA TECH OFF ROAD
For more than 35 years, Stacey has dedicated her career to teaching and supporting children with intellectual and physical disabilities. Specializing in inclusive education, she has played a pivotal role in the development of countless children and young adults, helping them build confidence, independence, and essential life skills. Her expertise in adaptive learning, individualized support, and accessibility has made a lasting impact on families and communities alike.
Beyond her work in education, Stacey has spent over 30 years immersed in motorsports and overland travel, exploring some of the most remote and challenging terrains. Her vast experience in trip planning, vehicle preparedness, and route development has allowed her to combine her love of adventure with her passion for creating inclusive experiences.
She understands that true adventure should be accessible to everyone, and she applies this philosophy to both Terra Tech Off Road and Taylor's Travels, working alongside her daughter Taylor to promote Adventure, Inclusion, and Learning.
